Village Eulogia Prayer Update - March 2019
We are well on our way into 2019 and we know this because spring is coming. We see the days getting longer and the sun is starting to warm up the earth; this means it’s time to focus our attention and prayer on our upcoming events for Village Eulogia.
We thank the Lord for the many families registered for Camp Eulogia 2019. We pray the Lord will prepare the hearts of the families and volunteers alike for a great time of fellowship and renewal. We know costs are always going up, including the costs for camp. We are grateful to the Riverview Camp Board for helping us in managing this increase. We are also thankful for those who have faithfully supported Village Eulogia through their financial giving as this has allowed us to assist some families with their camp fees and cover the costs of our volunteers so they can support our families. We continue to seek financial support for the work of Village Eulogia. In Luke 6:38 we read, Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For the measure you give, will be the measure you get back.
We are in need of volunteers for camp and for the growth of our young adults’ program. Please pray for the Lord to lead individuals, young and old alike, to come and serve with us. It is a blessing each year to see who the Lord provides and how they not only bless us but one another. As each has received a gift, employ it for one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.(1 Peter 4:10) We continue to search for a part-time year-round children’s program coordinator, and individuals to join our board of directors and executive team. This growth is crucial for the future ministry of Village Eulogia.
We have begun our family visitation and have already visited seven of our families from Camp Eulogia 2018. It was a real blessing for the volunteers to reconnect with the parents, children and young adults alike. Pray for these valued relationships and for those that have yet to re-connect. Many of our families continue to struggle with the challenges their lives may characterize, but we know God is good and he is faithful in taking care of and providing for those whom he loves. We hope the friendship and faith we offer lightens their burdens, for as we bear one another’s burdens, we fulfill the law of Christ.(Galatians 6:2)
We ask that you pray for Village Eulogia. Pray for our families facing difficult times as they begin to prepare for the summer months; finding services and programs. Pray for our volunteers who juggle their commitment to VE with their responsibilities to family, work and school. Pray that the Lord will guide our decisions in growing our volunteers and staff and planning our path for the next year. AND give thanks to the Lord that he has brought us all together.
We pray a special blessing on the marriage of Bonnie and Nick, and Abi and Adrian who have been faithful volunteers and core staff of Village Eulogia. We are so thankful for their commitment and allowing God to use them for the families and volunteers of our Village. We are very excited to see them take this step together as they continue to love and serve our God.
On behalf of the Village Staff and Volunteers,
May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in all ways. The Lord be with you all.
